I just turned 21 myself, I distinctly remember being in the second grade. That being said, midnight showing is where it was at last night. I made five house scarves just for the occasion.
Let's not be so literal. Let's suppose the OP was making the point that they quit reading the books as a youth, that they think the books are children's books, and that the hype of dressing in costume and waiting in line for a premier of a movie based on a children's book is not adult behavior.
i turned 21 at the midnight premiere. the books became available in the US in '98, but didn't become popular until '00, really. that gives kids my age anywhere from 8 and older to start becoming fans. sorry to say, but steve's kinda got a point.
Either you don't realize that the first book came out 14 years ago, or you're terrible at math. If you're 21 now, the first book came out when you were roughly 7 or 8, which, at least where I grew up, is definitely not 6th grade.
Whoa whoa whoa. Calm yo tits, everyone. Who knew posting something against Harry Potter could get you lynched. It's a good thing you don't actually know who this person is.
*Hiiiissssssss* Harry Potter is eeeeevil. No good can come from these stories. They're teaching the youth today that witchcraftery and gayness is cool. ssssshhhhhhhuuuuuuuunnnnnnnnn
