What the hell is wrong with people? Birth control pills aren't as simple as condoms. It's an extra dose of hormones that wreck havoc on her body only. I can't take most kinds due to a heart condition. If a guy doesn't want to deal with condoms, then it's his responsibility too to protect themselves from an unwanted pregnancy.

Thank you, I feel the same! In 4 years I have had 5 different birth controls because my body rejects it. The hormones can stop a period altogether, (which is severely wrong, you can develop endometrial cancer, ovarian, cervical from not having a period) they can also screw your mood swings and then you end up needing an antidepressant. Trust me, it's cheaper and better for the guy to buy condoms. But if she's a teen, then quit having sex. Teens don't need to be having sex.

If you are on a hormonal birth control pill it is effective 7 days after you take it no matter when you take it. This is a fact. If you start taking it the day you get your period, you are protected from that day on.
